Serge Kampf launched Capgemini in 1967 as a corporation focused on enterprise management and data processing. The corporation was established as the Société pour la Gestion de l’Entreprise et le Traitement de l’Information (Sogeti).
Sogeti purchased Gemini Computer Systems, an American firm with headquarters in New York, in 1974.Sogeti rebranded itself CAP Gemini Sogeti in 1975 after acquiring CAP (Centre d’Analyse et de Programmation) and Gemini Computer Systems, as well as resolving a dispute with the similarly titled CAP UK over the international usage of the name ‘CAP’.

In 2018, they paid $500 million for LiquidHub, a digital customer interaction startup based in Philadelphia, to help Capgemini expand its digital and cloud offerings in North America. Its big backend workforce is headquartered in India. Previously, Capgemini acquired Kanbay for $1.2 billion and iGate for $4 billion.
Capgemini purchased Altran in 2019, the company’s largest acquisition to date, raising the total staff count to more than 250,000.Capgemini acquired frog design and Cambridge Consultants, which were integrated into Capgemini Invent; several other recent acquisitions in the design and digital space, including the staff from Fahrenheit 212 team , Idean, and June21 teams, have been merged into this group and operate under the frog brand.
Capgemini joined forces with Sanofi, Orange, and Generali in June of year 2021 to develop Future4care, a European start-up accelerator specialising on digital healthcare. Capgemini purchased RXP Services and Acclimation in Australia in year 2021 to grow its operations there. In year 2021, Capgemini also purchased Empired, an Australian company, and Intergen, its New Zealand subsidiary.
As of year 2021, Capgemini employs about 300,000 people in 50 countries, with approximately 120,000 in India.

Collaborate with your teammates to create the high quality, scalable, and maintainable software applications.
Conduct technical analysis to determine and document the clients needs and requirements.
Offer technical guidance and advices for the software development initiatives.
